Another Feeding Time highlight, we are truly honoured to be hosting Blanck Mass's live debut at the Shacklewell Arms on the 19th of December. Following on from the release of the beautiful and mesmerising sounds found on the eponymously-titled debut album (Rock Action Records) in June 2011, £7 adv tickets from here

Blanck Mass is Benjamin John Power, a young musician in thrall to Carl Sagan, Ennio Morricone and the infinity of nature. Since the album’s release, Power has been busy honing his live set and writing new material, as well as working on ideas for his live show with visual artist and film-maker Alex Turvey, the first fruits of which will be on display at The Shacklewell Arms.

We are very pleased to announce that not only have one of our favourite bands Peaking Lights signed to our friends and Domino Records imprint Weird World, but they will also be playing a show for us at the legendary Plastic People here in London on the 6th of December. Ticket details to follow, Buy your ticket's here. I am sure you don't need me to tell you that you will have to be quick off the mark to nab a place at this intimate performance from the wonderfully dubbed-out husband and wife duo.

Weird World will be re-releasing the genuinely awesome "936" Which effortlessly combined cyclical and trance like percussion with enough psychological-psychedelia to shake a leg to. Originally released on a limited run through Not Not Fun this year. 2012 will see a new release. Aaron Coyes seems to be the most equipped man to tell us about the new long player, so here he is ...

“The songs that we've been working on have been very groovy and psyched out, foraging deeper into new rhythm techniques and territories, smoother bass lines w/ a heavy dub influence looking outward to private press boogie records, african & latin rhythms and tranced vibrations of the most killer all nite party you've never been to: less cocaine, more weed, a sustained orgasm, maintaining 100% creative control, late hot summer nights, come down chill room and low lit zone, lazer light show, smoke machines, being naked and watching the sun rise.  This has been inspired by a long wild ride of a year with the birth of our son Mikko Lorenzo Dunis Coyes being at the helm of inspiration. We're working on moving in new directions, there's a lot of things we'll never give up in our passion for making killer chunes but the birth of our son has been an eye opening event to infinite possibilities...”

Listen to a brand new mix from the depths of the obviously deep record collection of the Peaking Light family and re-introduce/introduce yourself to Tiger Eyes (Laid Back) track from "936"

We have two intimate shows coming up in conjunction with our friends at Vice to celebrate the release of Cass McCombs new album 'Wits End' which is out now through Domino. Cass is our favourite modern day songwriter and this is a total Feeding Time highlight to have him perform.
