Sometime in 2007, friends Jake McGowan and Rod Stanley (Dazed & Confused) hosted a series of live music club nights in the depths of South London, where they lived. Soon outgrowing these surroundings, Feeding Time went capital-wide promoting some of the most significant bands, DJs and emerging talent at venues, warehouses and galleries, which led to Time Out London declaring: “Maverick promoters Feeding Time… put simply, it’s one heck of a hipsterish club.”
Gathering friends, collaborators and fans along the way, we were able to establish ourselves as a key cultural sponge soaking up and presenting the very best in music and surrounding creative culture. This was noted by record labels who employed us to generate the same buzz around their promo activity for artists and brands looking for music solutions for their marketing campaigns.
Today, Feeding Time still operates with the same ethics, we still independently promote the most exciting music talent and work with our friends on projects that fill us with joy, the only difference is we are now able to use our collected talents and networks and experience on a wider scale as a creative agency.
Feeding Time have created specialist music events for a range of clients from the ground up. Our deep rooted knowledge and close connections within music, art and it's surrounding cultures has seen us successfully devise, programme, promote and produce original and significant events for a variety of clients. Album launches, record label showcases, brand promotional events, Fashion launches, book and magazine launches, festival programming and production, we have worked on small exhibition style events to 5,000 capacity live performances.
FTTV is where you will see some of the video based work that we produce for our favourite musical acts, from our regular live sessions to commissioned music promos for groundbreaking artists.. We work with highly creative directors and film crews. Our heads are firmly engrossed in music but our aesthetic understanding of film reaches too animation, documentary, fashion look-book, event capturing commissions and beyond.
Our friends at the amazing independent radio station NTS asked Feeding Time to present our own show every Saturday from 2pm-4pm, nestled amongst some of the most eclectic and forward thinking music shows Jake McGowan (Feeding Time) Tai Thittachai (Vipers) and David Lane (Inventory Studios) present a weekly that explores the plethora of recognised and unrecognised genres in a sometimes disconnected but meaningful way - all simply because of a mutual love and respect for music of all kinds. As well as the radio show GSR also play their melange of sounds live at a monthly event at the Lock Tavern in Camden and sporadically in other venues across London and beyond.
We as you might have guessed by now are very switched on when it comes to credible music, we independently promote it, we release it, write about it, talk about it on the radio, create films based around it, programme whole festivals of it, and we think this makes us somewhat experts on finding the perfect people to compose and source for commercials, TV, film, fashion shorts and beyond.
